Malawi

From Lake Malawi and Tanganyika exist some of the prettiest and most fascination Cichlids in the world. These African Cichlids has a behaviour that will fascinate you in a way so you will never get tired of watching them.

It is not difficult to keep Cichlides from Lake Malawi and Tanganyika, the water pH should be 7.5 and upwards. In Denmark our tap water is very close to that most places, that was one of our reasons to chose the African Cichlids, since we can use our tap water without preparation

Tanganyika

Clean water is very important to these fish, so if you do not like to change 30% of the water in your tank about every two weeks, then African Cichlids is not the right fish for you.

The right water quality is not the only thing necessary for these fish, what each individual Cichlids demands to thrive, one should find out before purchase any. There are a lot of pages on the web, but also many good books were you can fine information on each individual Cichlids demands.
