We got our first Shiba in 1990. A lovely male puppy who completely fulfilled our expectations about the breed. Afterwards our interest for the breed only have grown bigger and bigger, which among other things, resulted in an journey to USA in 1992 where we visited several different Shiba breeders. We decided to buy a Shiba bitch at this time. Her name is: Reno Sakura Joshi Baika (Baika).
After we got Baika we were ready to start breeding in our own kennel name, and therefore we applied for a kennel name at Danish Kennel Club, which we got in November 1992 and that lead to that we decided to import 2 bitches from USA. One of those was Reno Sakura Mitsuhime (Mitsu). Mitsu now lives with her breeder in USA.
The other one wer Taichung Promishes (Shûki). Shûki now lives with Lene's mother in northern Jutland.
The goal with our breeding is to try to breed Shibas with a, for the breed, typical and mentally stabile temperament, which are sound and are of the correct Japanese type. When we have a Japanese dog we are of the opinion that it isn't our task to change the looks of the breed. On the contrary we think the ideal must be to try to breed Shibas on the same high level as the best dogs in the breeds native country are.
Our house has been arranged so we ALWAYS can have our dogs where we are, that means we do NOT have "Kennel dogs". We have fenced in almost 8000 square meters for the dogs and that they really enjoy.
At the moment we have 2 Shiba's at home.
When we have puppies, we take care of giving them lots of love and attention, and we make a lot out of mark the puppies on a way so they can fit in their new homes as fast as possible. The puppies are only sold to loving and responsible homes.
